Monthly Wellness Box

Subscription boxes are super popular with many households right now. Amazon has a Subscribe and Save feature. Care/of offers personalized vitamins each month. We use Bark Box for Ava. But what about a wellness box? Don't you worry! Young Living has got the perfect one for you.

Young Living offers a program that is totally customizable for you that is delivered to your door each month. What's cool about this box is you tell Young Living when to ship it, how to ship it, and what to put in it. Oh and there is no monthly charge to be in this program. It's seriously that simple.

What can I put in my monthly wellness box?

Your box can include anything on Young Living's website. The only "rule" is the total PV value must be a minimum of 50. That's not hard to meet at all.

How do I sign up for Essential Rewards?

When you sign up for Young Living as a distributor, there is an option after you choose your Premium Starter Kit for Essential Rewards. You can build your monthly wellness box from there.

If you have already signed up as a distributor for Young Living, log in to your Virtual Office. On the left hand side of your screen under Member News, the next option below it is Essential Rewards. Click on it and build your monthly wellness box.

Are there any perks to being on Essential Rewards?

Uh heck yes there are! Let's go through all of them. For every purchase you make through Essential Rewards, you rack up points that can be used for future purchases. This is the breakdown:

1-3 months: 10% of each Essential Rewards PV total

4-24 months: 20% of each Essential Rewards PV total

25+ months: 25% of each Essential Rewards PV total

Redeeming these points is simple. When you go to pay for an order, you can tell Young Living's system to use your Essential Rewards points. This is a great way to treat yourself to free items.

Did you just say free items?

Yes. You read that right. FREE items. There are two different ways to get free items through Young Living: earning points through Essential Rewards or meeting a PV minimum for a monthly promotion. Above I explained how you get points back on all your purchases in your monthly wellness box, but what's even cooler is you get rewarded with free items for being on Essential Rewards.

If you're in the United States, this is what your free items are:

3 months - 5 mL Peppermint Vitality oil

6 months - 5 mL Thieves Vitality oil

9 months - 15 mL Melaleuca Alternifolia oil

12 months - Loyalty oil. This is a special blend that is only available for those who meet this requirement.

Each month, Young Living releases their monthly promotions. Let's take December 2018 for example:

100 PV - 5 mL Lemongrass Vitality oil

190 PV - 5 mL Lemongrass Vitality oil, 5 mL Joy oil, and 15mL Pine oil

250 PV - 5 mL Lemongrass Vitality oil, 5 mL Joy oil, 15mL Pine oil, and 5 mL White Angelica oil

300 PV - 5 mL Lemongrass Vitality oil, 5 mL Joy oil, 15mL Pine oil, 5 mL White Angelica oil, and 5 mL Gathering oil

400 PV - 5 mL Lemongrass Vitality oil, 5 mL Joy oil, 15mL Pine oil, 5 mL White Angelica oil, 5 mL Gathering oil, 15 mL Frankincense oil, and D. Gary Young: The World Leader in Essential Oils book

When you place your monthly order, you can receive these items for free if you hit the minimum PV amounts. You are not required to do this, but it's a perk that is offered to all members during that month. These promotions change each month, so if you don't like what's being offered at the moment, that's totally okay.

How does shipping work?

This is a good question. When you are ordering products, you have some options: YL Go, YL Choice, and USPS.

YL Go is a fairly new option for Young Living members that is similar to Amazon Prime. You pay an upfront fee and that covers your shipping cost for one or two years, depending on which plan you pick. As you go to order items, you can tell Young Living's system to ship your box with a YL Go credit or you can pay for the shipping in your overall total. This option is 100% worth the price because you can order heavier items, like bottles of NingXia Red, and you won't have to pay a ton of extra money to get it to your door.

YL Choice is available to those who live in Utah and can go pick up their box each month. There is no charge for this.

USPS is the last option available. There is a shipping cost with this and that cost is dependent on how much your box weighs. I know my shipping costs where we live currently (Japan) that it ranges from $8.49 to $8.99. The higher price is priority shipping and we receive our box in roughly two weeks. The lower price can take upwards to two months to get to us.

What's the point of Essential Rewards?

Everything I've mentioned up until now are the perks of participating in Essential Rewards. What I haven't mentioned yet is why it benefits your household and family members to be enrolled in the program.

Go under your kitchen sink and pull out one of your cleaners. Open your makeup bag and look at your compact. Check out the toothpaste sitting in your bathroom drawer. How many ingredients are listed that you have no idea what they are or even how to say them? Now go look up what exactly those ingredients are. Kind of scary, huh?

Did you know the European Union Cosmetics Regulation has banned over 1,300 chemicals? Another 500 are being watched to determine if they need to be banned as well. The Food and Drug Administration has only banned 11.

Did you know that companies in the United States are not legally required to disclose their fragrance/perfume/parfum recipes? Those are the three words to keep an eye out for when you're reading a product's ingredient label.

We are responsible for what we put in and on our bodies. We are also responsible for our children's bodies until they reach adulthood. Essential Rewards is designed for people who want to rid their homes of toxic products.

Now don't think that you need to immediately throw out everything in your home right now and replace it all in one month with Young Living's products. You do not have to do that if you don't want to. Our family is replacing products slowly. As we run out of something, we don't go to the local grocery or drug store to get a new product. We go to Young Living.

Doesn't that get expensive?

If you break it down, it's not much of a difference. If it is, think about it this way: do I want to keep buying a known toxic product and expose myself and my family to those chemicals? Or do I want to spend a little more up front and buy something that is not only healthier, but is a concentrated product? I think the answer is pretty straightforward.

For example: I recently bought Young Living's laundry soap. I can either use the concentrate for the 64 loads or I can stretch the lifespan of that product. On my Instagram, I talked about this and saved it as a highlight on my profile.

I have seen people dilute the dish soap, mouthwash, laundry soap, and much more so it can last them longer. This does not compromise the performance of the product! It still works just as well as if you don't dilute it.

Essential Rewards is also designed to help you try new products. On my Instagram, I made a post about Myrrh essential oil. I randomly decided to get it in my monthly wellness box and try to find a use for it. Through my research, I learned that it was a great option for those trying to improve the health of their skin. I would have never thought to try it if it wasn't for the Essential Rewards program.

If I need to, how to get out of the Essential Rewards program?

If you find yourself in this situation, it's perfectly okay. No one is going to judge you for it. A quick phone call to Young Living's customer service can take care of this for you. Their team is incredibly helpful and can resolve issues fast.

That's it!

That's all the information about Essential Rewards. It's a great program that Young Living offers to their members. Need more information? Don't hesitate to message me on any of my social media platforms.

Until next time,
